  Web Resources
A number of Internet sites provides exciting projects that mentors and students can
work on together!

The Eisenhower National Clearinghouse website features math projects sorted by
grade level
, as well as some great real-world mathematics projects. (We especially
like the "Big Mac Index" project!)

PUMAS (Practical Uses of Math and Science), an online journal of math and science activities
written primarily by scientists and engineers, features real-world math and science activities for
students in grades K-12.

TERCās science activities encourage students in grades 2-8 to investigate the world around
them both through hands-on experiements and online analysis.

A website devoted to NASA's Discovery mission Genesis offers science activities that track
the spacecraft as it travels a million miles sunward.

Girls Tech features a compendium of web sites and projects that have been evaluated to
especially encourage and increase young women's interest in science and technology.

Science Update, from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, provides interesting science news and information EVERY weekday.

Visit the Women in Technology (WIT) Archives Exhibit to take a journey down the WIT timeline, be inspired by success stories of some of IBM's leading female technologists, and discover materials and links related to the topic of women in technology.
