     Science is exciting, and it's for everyone! Are you ready to
     explore new and exciting science-related topics? Well now you
      can do just that. Each month TryScience brings you exciting
       new topics like Space, Botany, Animal Adventures and more!
       TryScience is brought to you through a partnership between
      IBM Corporation, the New York Hall of Science (NYHOS),
     the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC),
   and science centers worldwide.
   
 

Activity 1: Exploring TryScience
 The Web site at www.TryScience.org enables you and your mentor
                     to visit science centers around the world virtually! While you are there,
        you also can try real experiments that have on- and offline components.
There also are other interactive areas to explore like online polls on a hot topic
question and fun online activities.

Check it out at http://www.tryscience.org. Together decide what you will explore.
Take some time to explore independently and than discuss your thoughts and
discoveries with one another. Be sure to take advantage of the hot topic question
each month. It will give you another interesting, current and important issue to discuss.
     
  Activity 2: Treasure Hunt
   

In this activity, mentors and students will go on a virtual treasure hunt!
Go to the TryScience website. Each of you should try and answer all the questions in the
TryScience Treasure Hunt Student Worksheet below. Ask questions if you are having trouble.
